4SPOT Barrel Stave Flight Board

Half of a real bourbon barrel stave — that is where this board starts. The stave keeps its natural arch; the char is sealed in urethane, and the rest of the board is sanded and oiled to a warm satin finish.

Four cork-lined recesses hold your glasses, and the full tasting sequence rides in hardwood chips — POUR, NOSE, SIP, SAVOR — with the complete 12-chip tasting set included too. Only the glasses cost more. The Savor the Pour crest is engraved at the center, darkened by hand — no stain, no paint; the barrel does the work. Your own distillery, pub, or bar name can be engraved instead, for $5 more. The end knobs are hand-matched to each stave's wood, so no two boards finish alike.

The chip system. What makes these flight boards different is the chip system. Wooden tasting chips seat in the board under each glass and name what's in it, so halfway through a tasting nobody has to ask which pour was which. The classic chips walk you through each pour — POUR, NOSE, SIP, SAVOR. The special 12-chip set (a $5 add-on) names the style in the glass: Bourbon, Rye, Wheated, Small Batch, Single Barrel, Barrel Select, Cask Strength, High Proof, Bottled-in-Bond, Double Oaked, Limited Release, and Aged 18 Years.
